The safety of the train running in the tunnel largely depends on the air pollution in the tunnel. After the steam locomotive passes, the air is contaminated with soot and exhaust gas, which may poison locomotive crew, train crew, especially tunnel workers, patrol workers and line maintenance workers. Steam trains in the tunnel driving one of the most important issue is the exclusion of dirty air. Currently the most widely used tunnel ventilation is hole ventilation. The airflow created by this ventilation flows from one end of the tunnel to the other end. The direction of the airflow is the same as the direction of the train (at this moment, the soot and the exhaust gas escape from the tunnel as the train runs) or meet the train. There is no doubt that the piston action of the train plays an important role in removing soot from the exhaust gas. However, the final purification of the air after the train has left the tunnel also depends on the mechanical ventilation. Which air supply is good, is the direction of good train, or train
