吴忠县地处黄河灌区,是宁夏回族自治区银南行署所在地。现有人口二十一万,其中回族十一万八千人,占54％以上,是个回族聚居的县份。吴忠县图书馆成立于1956年,至今已有二十七年的历史。其间虽曾一度与文化馆合并,但在党的十一届三中全会以后,很快就恢复了独立建制,并着手进行了一系列业务整顿。几年来,我们调整了机构,充实了人员,增加了经费,清理了藏书,建立、健全了各种规章制度,开辟了儿童阅览室和科技阅览室,把六百多种期刊由闭架改为半开架。根据各族读者的需要,我们延长了开放时间,由原来的每周开放五天,二十七小时,增加为每周开放七天,
Wuzhong County, located in the Yellow River Irrigation District, is the location of Yinnan Administrative Office of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The existing population of 210,000, of which 118,000 Hui people, accounting for more than 54%, is a Muslim live in counties. Wuzhong County Library was founded in 1956, it has been 27 years of history. Although it was once merged with the Cultural Center, after the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Party, the independent system was soon restored and a series of business rectifications were initiated. In the past few years, we have adjusted our institutions, enriched our staffs, increased funding, cleaned up books, established and perfected various rules and regulations, opened up children’s reading rooms and reading rooms for science and technology, and changed over 600 journals from closed frames to Half open. According to the needs of readers of all ethnic groups, we have extended the opening hours from the previous five days and 27 hours a week to seven days a week,
