谢林在同一哲学的框架下建构了自然和艺术哲学,把自然作为哲学原始同一的起点,把艺术作为直观自我与自然复归同一的哲学的官能,在哲学体系的穹顶使绝对同一的理智直观客观化为审美直观,在人的经验意识中实现了对无限与有限、自我与自然、有意识与无意识的绝对同一的洞察。分别作为同一哲学体系起点和终点的自然与艺术,共享着最高绝对的本原行动的创造力,因而有着深刻的相似和对照关系。自然对造型艺术有着更为密切和显在的亲缘关系,自然是造型艺术的本源、构成基础和分类的参照。天才具有在艺术作品中揭示最高绝对的天赋,而对绝对同一的洞察和表现就是对最隐秘的自然的诗意的沟通和实现。
