Joan of Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre in Jane Eyre’s crazy wife, this fate of the Creole girl from the West Indies, Joan can not forget. After many revisions, after rewriting, “vast sea” was published. With her knowledge of the West Indies, Joan recaptured the story of a mad woman Charlotte did not describe in detail, with her knowledge of the white descendants living there. The book is divided into three parts. The first, Antoinette Bursas’ self-introduction of childhood and youth life, reflects the political turmoil in the West Indies and its impact on her mother mentally and on her own. The second part is the young Rochester came to the West Indies, for property, and Antoinette married. The novel describes both their own emotional and intellectual activities and how Rochester listened to what the local individual told him that Antoinette’s mother died of mental illness and began to have doubts and fears about his wife, The latter spirit of depression and illness. The third section, narrated from Antoinette’s point of view, was now banned in the attic of Thornfield until she burned it down. Antoinette’s destiny was not a personal, unfortunate result, but a product of the innate and decadent British colonialist society that emigrated abroad. These people have left their own country and can not be rooted in the communities in which they live. Since they were descendants of the white colonizers, the locals hated them, especially after the liberation movement in the nineteenth century, they became more unpopular figures. They still regarded Britain as their motherland, but they knew nothing of Britain. They wanted to live well in the West Indies. However, the evil of the colonial system made it impossible for them to have any sympathy or understanding with the colonial peoples. These Creoles, especially women, thus live isolated and lonely lives on these islands of fascinating beauty. Their wealth has attracted many British children, but their origins, environment and education are so different that they hardly know each other. Here is the root of the tragedy of marriage between Antoinette Bursas and Rochester. The advent of the vast expanse of sea, which has aroused strong repercussions in Britain, partly because it enriches readers’ understanding of Jane Eyre in a certain sense and, more importantly, the author’s life on the West Indies Familiar with the psychological characterization of the delicate person. This work explores the root causes of this tragedy of marriage from a social and historical point of view, so that readers can see that the British overseas colonial policy has brought disasters to the colonial people and their own people. The author is warm and sincere feelings, write exciting, long after reading can not be calm. This issue is published in the second part of the novel.
