However, the evil of the colonial system made it impossible for them to have any sympathy or understanding with the colonial peoples. These Creoles, especially women, thus live isolated and lonely lives on these islands of fascinating beauty. Their wealth has attracted many British children, but their origins, environment and education are so different that they hardly know each other. Here is the root of the tragedy of marriage between Antoinette Bursas and Rochester. The advent of the vast expanse of sea, which has aroused strong repercussions in Britain, partly because it enriches readers’ understanding of Jane Eyre in a certain sense and, more importantly, the author’s life on the West Indies Familiar with the psychological characterization of the delicate person.
