甘蔗间种玉米试验设3个处理:宽窄行模式,宽窄行140cm、80cm,玉米双行间种在宽行墒面上;1.1 m等行距模式,采用隔一间一,玉米双行间种在甘蔗行间;1.1 m等行距模式单种甘蔗为对照。结果表明,甘蔗间种玉米等行距和宽窄行两种模式,均能提高甘蔗产量,等行距模式增幅达19.2%,宽窄行模式增幅达11.5%,等行距模式玉米产量为376.5kg/667m2,宽窄行模式玉米产量为338.9 kg/667m2;在0.3~0.5m株距密度下,随着玉米株距的增加,玉米产量增加,玉米密度与甘蔗产量之间没有规律性变化。
