He has both a solid skill and an original spirit. His portrait painting emphasizes the experience of urban life, and makes useful attempts to explore the contemporary Chinese figure painting. Early in his career, Li Wei specialized in oil painting. After his work in the west, he turned to exploration of Chinese painting. He is a fusion of Chinese and Western painters. Recently, the National Art Museum of China exhibited his works, and audiences can look at their style. Jiang Zhixin and Li Qiyu took root in the west for many years and drew lots of works reflecting the life in the west and took the lead in developing the culture in the west. Li Shuqin is a famous printmaker. Apart from his own achievements, he is still a Bole artist. He has helped nurture many young printrs and the new appearance of Jiangsu young prints is inseparable from Li Qinqin’s hard work.
