白宜洛的创作演进中,他并不是以一个影像艺术家的身份开始进入装置艺术的领域,而是在一开始就形成了一种对形象、材料、实物等元素加以借用的方法体系。他的影像作品更具有装置艺术的特性。所以白宜洛借用农具、石膏像、木船等等物品进行的创作同他用相纸实现的作品在语法上并没有本质的区别。白宜洛并不将自己的观点和身份放在一个评判者的位置上,他展现了一个存在于每个人的生命当中,但被日常经验所回避的一个事实。
