大学新生处于人生发展的重要转折时期,其面临从中学生到大学生的角色转换问题,需要完成大学新的学习和生活方式的适应任务.所以,大学新生教育必然成为高校思想政治教育工作的重要环节之一,不仅影响新生个人成长,而且关系到高校整体人才培养质量问题.近年来,“90后”大学生成为大学校园的主体,在价值取向、行为方式以及人格特质上,都呈现出了新的时代特征和群体特征.这不仅给大学新生教育工作提出了新要求,而且更是成为整个高校思想政治教育工作的新挑战.
