已故奚派创始人、著名京剧演员奚啸伯(1910—1977,满族)先生在京剧老生行当中是一位卓有成就的艺术家,早在名角如云的上世纪三四十年代就与马连良、谭富英、杨宝森同被誉为“四大须生”。他在唱念表演以及艺术理论上都有很深的造诣,以委婉细腻、清新雅致的艺术风格独树一帜,自成一派,赢得了广大观众的喜爱与推崇。解放后曾担任北京京剧四团团长,石家庄京剧团副团长等职。奚先生一生为人处事正直、谦和、豁达、大度,与长上孝,与子女慈,与亲戚宽,与朋友诚。这样一位一代卓越的表演艺术家一生流离,身居异地,命运多舛,晚景凄凉。而由他创造的奚派艺术在我国京剧艺术家宝库中有他那灿烂不可磨灭的光辉!代表剧：《白帝城》、《范进中举》、《杨家将》、《法门寺》、《宝莲灯》、《浔阳楼》、《红云崖》、《白毛女》等。奚派传人：欧阳中石、王铁成、孟筱伯、李伯培、杨志刚、张建国等。
The late Xi faction founder, the famous Beijing opera actor Xi Xiaobo (1910-1977, Manchu) is an accomplished artist in the Peking Opera veteran, as early as the 30s and 40s of last century, with Malian Liang, Tan Fu Ying, Yang Baosen with the hailed as “the Four Musts.” He has a deep attainments in singing and performing arts as well as in the theory of art. With his gentle and delicate, fresh and elegant artistic style, he has gained a great reputation and respected audience. After the liberation, he served as head of the four Beijing Peking Opera and deputy head of the Beijing Opera Company of Shijiazhuang. Mr. Xi's integrity in his life, modest, open-minded, generous, with the filial piety, and children's merits, with relatives wide, sincere friends. Such a generation of outstanding performing artists life away from each other, lived in different places, fate and more, desolate evening scenery. He created the art of the Xi School of Peking Opera artists in our treasure house has his brilliant indelible glory! Representative drama: “Baidicheng”, “Fan Jinzhongju”, “Yang Jia will,” “Famen Temple”, “Po Lotus Lights ”,“ Shenyang House ”,“ Red Cliff ”,“ White-Haired Girl ”and so on. Xi sent descendants: Ouyang stone, Wang Tiecheng, Meng Xiaobo, Li Pei-pei, Yang Zhigang, Zhang Jianguo and so on.
