广西５号无籽西瓜是广西农科院园艺研究所西、甜瓜研究室培育出的无籽西瓜新品种。具有高抗枯萎病，耐湿性强，长势旺，坐果稳，产量高，品质优，适应性广和容易栽培等特点。在１９９２—１９９５年的多点品比试验和大面积对比试验中，其产量、品质及抗逆性均超过原主栽品种－广西２号无籽西瓜。目前已成为我国南方瓜区无籽西瓜的主栽品种。１９９６年４月通过广西自治区农作物品种审定委员会的审定并命名。

In 1992-1995 multi-point product ratio test and a large area comparative test, the yield, quality and resistance than the original main varieties - Guangxi No. 2 seedless watermelon. Has become China’s melon seedless watermelon varieties. In April 1996 through the Guangxi Autonomous Region Crop Variety Approval Committee for validation and named.
