各种大型高载荷动力机的机体(汽缸体),绝大多数是由灰口铸铁铸成。由于汽缸体内工作压力和温度变化极大,加上工作条件比较复杂,经常遇有碰撞、敲击、冰冻及使用保养不当等原因而造成损坏。我们遵照伟大领袖毛主席关于勤俭节约的教导,修旧利废,变废为宝,对大量的各种类型的损坏的汽缸体,进行焊补修复,经长期使用证明焊补质量良好。从焊补修复大量汽缸的实践中,体会到各种不同焊补方法归结起来就是控制内应力问题。在尽量节约优质材料的前提下,采用钢芯焊条减应法电弧冷焊的工艺,较为理想。现以实例说明如下:我厂一台大型高载荷的柴油机汽缸体侧面至交角处冻裂,裂缝弯曲且穿透,长达450毫米,缸与缸之间的鼻梁断裂。裂缝长且都在交角处,焊道处于应力集中部位,施焊难度较大。
