碳钢制凹模淬火后边缘的销孔薄边和边角螺孔常产生裂纹。产生裂纹的因素很多,单从热处理角度来讲,除了加热温度、保温时间、冷却介质和冷却方法的选择外,还需要注意辅助工作的密切配合。防止裂纹出现的辅助工作有用粘土或石棉堵孔或用铁皮包扎等,这些方法都有一些成效,但也存在一定缺点。我们经过实践摸索,采用人为产生软点的方法(即将易淬裂而又不要求硬度的孔,用螺钉、垫圈和螺母拧上,使之在淬火时产生软点)来避免凹模产生裂纹。现
