The grain boundary diffusion of chromium in Nb twins with <100> symmetrical tilted grain boundaries was investigated by electron probe microanalysis. The diffusion coefficient and the activation energy were measured in the temperature range of 1118 ° C to 1355 ° C. Except for a minimum diffusion rate near the re-entryed grain boundaries, the grain boundary diffusion generally increases with the increase of the twin angle error.
