荧光显示也称低能电子发光显示。 1967年日本伊势公司中村正博士等首次利用ZnO:Zn的低能电子发光现象制成显示数字的显示器——荧光数码管。由于它具有良好的光、电性能,十多年来发展非常迅速,是目前显示数字符号的主要器件之一,被广泛地应用于台式电子计算机、数字仪表、电子秤、数字钟等;并已开始应用于小型计算机终端、模拟显示、数据处理终端以及临床显示等。目前还正在研究具有存储能力的显示器、象加强和象变换器、平板示波器以及平板电视等显示器。
Fluorescent display is also called low-energy electron-emitting display. Because of its good optical and electrical properties, it has developed rapidly for more than 10 years. It is one of the main devices displaying digital symbols. It has been widely used in desktop computers, digital instruments, electronic scales, digital clocks and the like. Started to be used in small computer terminals, analog displays, data processing terminals and clinical displays. At present, research is being conducted on storage-capable displays such as booster and image converters, flat panel oscilloscopes, and flat-panel TVs.
