Using the 40Ar / 39Ar method and the laser microanalysis, the volcanic rocks of the Bollasian Group produced in the eastern part of Livingston Island, South Shetland, South Antarctica were re-dated. The results show that the isochron ages of (105.62 ± 2.11) Ma and (111.48 ± 2.23) Ma for the 45D andesitic lavas and 262 basalt anamorphic lava are respectively The Neil value is quite high, and there is no excess argon in the rock, indicating that the isochron age represents the true age of formation of the rock. The 40Ar / 39Ar plateau of the vein-derived A9352 nodules is (96.7 ± 1.6) Ma, and the isochronous age is 96.6Ma, which is later than the lava eruption. New age data confirm that the Bollasian group volcanic rocks formed during the Cretaceous. Cretaceous volcanic activity had affected the entire Livingston Island, the Boulders Group volcanic rocks exposed in the Hart Peninsula have been covered by younger volcanic rocks, tectonic uplift to expose.
