The Czech Academy of Sciences is promoting the large-scale publication project of English translation of Czech Marxist thinkers and Czech reviews, and strives to change the situation that many Marxist philosophers in Czechoslovakia have been neglected or even forgotten by academics at home and abroad. Since the beginning of the 21st century, Marxism is becoming an irrepressible ideological impulse, so this publication is very popular. The avant-garde played an important role in shaping the formation of Czech Marxism in the 1920s and 1930s, but Stalinization ended the vanguard movement. Later, the conservative post-Stalinist crackdown further suppressed the “Spring in Prague” movement Marxist humanitarianism and Marxism as critical theory. Marxism in Central and Eastern Europe is slightly different from Western Marxism, but this does not obscure the relevance of the Marxist legacy in Czechoslovakia to our day. This legacy is especially evident in the fields of alienation, exploitation, ideology, revolution, labor, technological progress, etc. Reflection, as well as attempts to rebuild historical materialism. The future should show the originality and limitations of the traditional Marxist tradition in Czechoslovakia in comparison with Marxism in the same wave, in Hungary, Germany, South Africa and Russia.
