他是一名普通职工,也是济南铁路局济西机务段机车故障处理的“110”。他只有中专文化程度,却通过自学破格提升为工程师,获得国家、部省和局级荣誉近20项。2006年2月,他的《机车操纵与基础设施优化》论文,被《中国铁路》译成外文发表。他曾是一名火车司机,却系统提出了机车操纵及其环境优化节能的应用软科学,取得相对节油2%—8%的效果。仅实施他提出的京沪线党家庄站更换道岔建议,年创直接经济效益就达上百万元。他就是山东省科技创新人才、“全省知识型职工标兵”、“富民兴鲁劳动奖章”获得者——济南铁路局济西机务段信息技术科副科长、共产党员韩长虎。
