一、全球变化科学进展与未来趋势中国科学院大气物理研究所叶笃正院士等几位科学家就全球变化的科学进展与未来趋势进行了阐述:全球变化科学是20世纪80年代开始的一个新兴科学领域。它的科学目标是描述和理解人类赖以生存的地球环境系统运转的机制,它的变化规律以及人类活动对地球环境的影响,从而提高对未来环境变化及其对人类社会发展影响的预测和评估能力。10多年来,在几大国际计划的推动下,对全球变化的研究在认识上取得了一系列重要进展。认识到:地球是一个包括许多子系统的一个大地球系统;人类活动已成为推动地球系统变化的一种强迫力;地球系统状态是不断变化的,它有一种以上不同的比较稳定状态;从人类活动对于自然环境有重大影响之时开始,为地球史上一新纪元,称人类纪和生物过程和物理化学过程起着强烈相互联系,从而产生了全球

Global Change Scientific Progress and Future Trends Several scientists, including Academician Ye Duzheng, Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, elaborated on the scientific progress and future trends of global change: Global Change Science was a new field of science started in the 1980s. Its scientific goal is to describe and understand the mechanism of the functioning of the Earth's environment on which human beings live, its changing patterns and the impact of human activities on the Earth's environment so as to enhance the prediction and assessment of future environmental changes and their impact on the development of human society ability. For more than 10 years, with the help of several major international programs, a great deal of important progress has been made in understanding the study of global change. Recognizing that the Earth is a large earth system that includes many subsystems, human activity has become a coercive force that promotes changes in the Earth's system.
