Cat rabies rabies caused by the region has not been reported. One case of rabies-induced death from cat bites (scratches) in my town in 1995 was reported as follows. Patient, Wang, female, 36 years old, farmer, living in the town, caught a kitten while working in a village farm on August 9, 1995 and was bitten by feeding on the morning of the second day Left hand ring finger and scratched the back of the hand, in the village clinics Tu Sulfonamide crystal after dressing, oral anti-inflammatory drugs cotrimoxazole, not rabies vaccine and tetanus antitoxin injection, a few days after the wound recovered. August 26 patients consciously unwell, fatigue, fever, numbness, suspected cold, oral antipyretics and cold granules. Followed by irritability, fear of the wind, fear of water, sweating, swallowing difficulties, paroxysmal convulsions and other symptoms, admitted to the hospital on August 28 emergency diagnosis of rabies. 8 o’clock on the 29 August died of invalid rescue, duration 4 days. 2 Discussion Patients are generally healthy, no dogs, history of cat bites, the incidence of cat scratching the wound, although the superficial wound, but there was a significant bleeding, while rabies vaccine was not injected, causing the bite after 16 days of onset . In rabies, dog bites accounted for more than 90%, in this case rabies death caused by cat bites, clinical rare. At present, urban and rural residents with dogs and cats as pets have become fashionable, and people’s exposure is more closely, so the harm of sick cats can not be ignored. Therefore, domestic animal cats should be vaccinated against wild cats. Such as cat injuries caused by cats should be treated the same with dog bites, thorough debridement, anti-infection, timely injection of rabies vaccine throughout the injection.
