Douglas Gray先生在加州中部长大,毕业于洛杉矶南加州大学。1984年他加入了生产录像带安全设备和系统制造的Javelin系统公司。由于再次被数字视频技术革命而吸引,1998年Douglas Gray加入了Impact技术公司,该公司为新一代为安防工业开发数字视频录制系统。随着Impac的不断发展和成功,2000年被Interlogix公司收购,2001年GE发现安防业务是一个极其好的业务发展契机,由此Interlogix被GE收购成为GE的安防业务。Douglas Gray先生一直担任GE安防系统的视频团队的产品开发副总裁,到2006年初,公司派遣他到GE北京2008奥林匹克业务团队担任安防系统经理。在GE公司设于北京汉威大厦23层的奥运专用办公室,Douglas Gray先生对本刊记者演示了GE为北京2008奥运设计的“一站式”综合服务系统,并讲述了GE公司以及他本人对于安全事业的理解。
Douglas Gray grew up in central California and graduated from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. In 1984 he joined Javelin Systems, Inc., manufacturing videocassette safety equipment and systems. Attracted again by the revolutionary digital video technology, Douglas Gray joined Impact Technology in 1998 as a new generation of digital video recording systems for the security industry. With the continued growth and success of Impac, which was acquired by Interlogix in 2000, GE discovered security in 2001 as an exceptionally good business opportunity whereby Interlogix was acquired by GE into GE’s security business. Douglas Gray has been vice president of product development for the video team at GE Security Systems. In early 2006, the company sent him to the GE Beijing 2008 Olympic Team as Security Systems Manager. At GE’s Olympics Office on the 23rd floor of Beijing’s Hanwei Tower, Mr. Douglas Gray demonstrated GE’s “One Stop” integrated service system for the Beijing 2008 Olympics and described GE and his I understand the cause of safety.
