当市场经济成为我们的社会现实存在之后，在道德实践领域里似乎存着一种反规范、反秩序、反约束的相对主义、乃至虚无主义倾向，这种倾向把道德自由作意志主义的理解，于是在实践中把个人意志的“任性”、“冲动”视为是道德自由。其实道德自由作为道德主体的意志自由是指道德主体有选择道德规范以规范自我行为的自由。道德规范的约束与限制恰恰是道德自由的真实内容。所以道德自由是自由与责任，自由与限制的内在同一。
