在棉区的土壤里有丰富的固氮菌;提高灌溉地的熟化度,改良它的水文情况,可使深度2米的土层內固氮菌的数目大大增加。在苜蓿或混合牧草地翻耕后的土壤中固氮菌通常是丰富的。試驗証明:施用固氮菌粉常能增多棉花根际的固氮菌,还能提高其固氮能力。由未接种与接种的作物根际提取細菌培养(表1)証明:在接种作物根际发育的固氮菌其活动力較对照
Nitrogen-fixing bacteria are rich in the soil in the cotton area. Increasing the degree of maturation of the irrigated land and improving its hydrological conditions can greatly increase the number of nitrogen-fixing bacteria in the soil layer of 2 m. Azotobacter is generally abundant in tillage soil after alfalfa or mixed pasture. Tests show that: nitrogen fixation powder can often increase nitrogen fixation bacteria in cotton rhizosphere, but also improve its ability to fix nitrogen. Bacteria culture by rhizosphere extraction from uninoculated and inoculated crops (Table 1) demonstrated that the activity of azotobacter developed in rhizosphere of inoculated plants was higher than that of control
