美国汉语教学的隐忧

美国汉语教学在过去20多年(1980至今)的发展,概括来说,是中文教学努力迎合西方外语教学法的一个过程,而其结果则是在教学中“准确”向“流利”妥协或弃守。与这个过程同时发生的另一个现象是极力强调教学的方法和语言的功能,而忽略了语言是不能脱离内容而单独存在的。现将这个教学发展情形就以下几点分述如下。语言与所谓“文化”时下汉语教师常谈的一个问题是如何整合语言与文化。其实,这一提法的本身暗示着:语言似乎可以脱离文化而单独存在。但实际上,语言是不可能脱离文化的,任何语言 The development of teaching Chinese in the United States over the past 20 years (1980-present) is, in a nutshell, a process in which Chinese teaching endeavors to cater to western foreign language teaching methods.
