用显微镜技术测定了割胶树和休割树树干各部位木质部和韧皮部的生长量,表明割胶树树干生长有如下特点:(1)木质部生长受割胶的抑制作用比韧皮部大得多。割胶树各部分在实验期间新生木质部厚度比停割树减少60~85%,但新生韧皮部厚度和细胞层数减少量最多不超过40%。(2)割胶树木质部和韧皮部在割线(半螺旋割线)上方比在割线和割线上方较远的地方生长快,同时木质部在下垂线附近(远离割线一侧)、韧皮部在上、下垂线附近(远离割线一侧)比在割线和割线背面生长快。认为这种割线附近形成层的不均匀生长主要是割胶使部分输导韧皮部破坏的结果。
