In March of this year, after a serious accident involving the escape of radioactive material from the Sanri Island nuclear power plant in the United States, people accused nuclear power as a “dangerous energy source”. So, can we find other non-hazardous energy sources? People invariably think of coal that is still enough for exploitation for hundreds of years. However, experts have already reminded people that coal is far from being a “safe energy source”, especially for modern coal power plants. In order to fully extract the energy contained in coal, the coal is first crushed into tiny pieces. The powder is then burned. This type of pulverized coal produces a large amount of fine fly ash when it is burned. Even if the best contaminated filter device cannot be used to capture them, the “filtering device” in people’s nasal cavity and throat is even more unstoppable.
