我想用『洒脱』二字来概括看了电影《红高粱》之后的全部感觉。洒、潇洒;脱、脱俗。先说演。『鬼才』张艺谋是时下人们谈论的中心、电影界能文能武的『超一流』人物,我不想趋炎附势。但只要静心思量:《红高粱》大处泼墨写意(比如土匪、日寇的来龙去脉);小处工笔勾勒(比如九儿、我爷爷的细枝末节)把他的大手笔劲儿显露得无一遮拦!张艺谋自己说是玩玩的,玩得何其洒脱!人们都说该片是歌颂生命的,对此我没有逆反心理。孔子说:『君子有勇无义为乱,小人有勇而无义为盗』,『君子喻于义』,这话成了传统道德——『存天理,灭人欲』的理论基础。《红高粱》中的主人公(甚至包括郑三炮)既非君子又非小人,他们轻生死、重感情;存天理、尽人欲是有勇有义的反叛者。因此,《红高粱》一扫以往反映昔日苦难影片的阴霾之气,叫人哀而不伤,倍感生命力的灼热。

They are flesh-and-blood dead and heavy-loving; they save innocence and try their best to be brave and righteous rebels. Therefore, “Red Sorghum” swept past the haze of the past suffering film, called sad but not hurt, feel the vitality of the burning.
