The coronavirus genome has about 25% recombination frequency. Recombination between viral genomes and between DI and RNA has been demonstrated, providing an evolutionary tool for viral RNA and DI RNA and can be used to explain the diversity of the coronavirus genome. Coronavirus can be recombined with the characteristics of its mRNA transcription mechanism, the synthesis of its RNA is not continuous, resulting in the non-continuity of viral polymerase. Recombination is also used as a tool for mutation of the viral genomic RNA.
