Superoxide (O2.-) is involved in many pathological processes by extracellular extracellular superoxide dismutase (ecSOD) gene transfer to remove extracellular superoxide for the treatment of vascular diseases caused by an excessively high oxidative stress response Broad prospects. Recent studies have revealed the mechanisms involved in the regulation of ecSOD and heparin replacement, providing new insights into how ecSOD works synergistically with other factors to regulate the mechanism of vascular function. This review summarizes recent advances in ecSOD gene transfer and activity regulation.
