The precise measurement of liquid level and the automatic measurement of tank level were studied. This paper gives the mechanics analysis of the sensitive plate under various conditions and the function of precision positioning system of the machine, electricity and magnetism. The calculation formula of liquid level considering the compensation of wire weight and liquid density is given. The operation results are in good agreement with the theoretical analysis
