Objective To investigate the expression of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) in patients with transient ischemic attack (TIA) and its significance. Methods According to the diagnostic criteria of transient ischemic attack, 40 patients with transient ischemic attack were selected, and venous blood was collected at 24h, 48h and 72h after onset respectively. Forty cases of normal control group were selected, and serum was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay NF-κB expression levels. Results Compared with normal controls, the level of serum NF-κB in patients with transient ischemic attack increased significantly at 24h and 48h after onset (P <0.05), and the level of NF-κB at 72h after onset tended to be normal (P> 0.05). Conclusion NF-κB-mediated signaling pathway may be involved in the pathophysiological process of transient ischemic attack. Early monitoring of serum NF-κB level may be helpful for the clinical diagnosis of transient ischemic attack.
