利用云南省红河州各台站建站以来的５ 月降水资料与厄尔尼诺事件进行统计分析，得出厄尔尼诺年出现在前一年秋冬季且持续到该年初夏红河洲５ 月降水趋向偏少，雨季开始期趋向偏晚；而拉尼娜年５ 月降水趋于正常到偏多，雨季开始趋于正常到偏早．
Using the May precipitation data and El Niño events since the stations were established in Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province, the statistical analysis shows that El Niño appears in the autumn and winter of the previous year and lasts until the beginning of the year. In May, the precipitation of Red River Delta tends to be less than normal and the beginning of the rainy season The trend is late; and La Nina in May the normal rainfall tends to be normal, the rainy season tends to be normal to early.
