The leaders of the 47 countries attending the first EU-Latin American Summit intensified their contacts in the political, economic, and cultural fields between the EU and Latin America and negotiated the establishment of the world’s largest free trade zone. The purpose of the strategic partnership in the 21st century will discuss how to further strengthen relations between Europe and Latin America and the Caribbean in various fields.
