Objective To investigate the urinary tract infection in postmenopausal women and recurrent small estrogen prophylaxis. Methods 90 cases of post-menopausal urinary tract infection were randomly divided into control group (38 cases) and observation group (52 cases). The control group received routine antibiotic therapy, and the observation group received low-dose estrogen therapy. The curative effects of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the symptom scores of vaginitis decreased in both groups, but the reduction in observation group was better than that in control group (P <0.05). The recurrence rate in observation group was lower than that in control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Post-menopausal urinary tract infection patients treated with low-dose estrogen can improve symptoms of vaginitis and reduce the recurrence rate, which can be used in clinical practice.
