Inclusion and delamination (hereinafter referred to as sandwich) is the most important scrap defects on steel. Whether the steel is ebonite or killed steel, hot rolled or cold rolled, thin or thick, both are judged to be rejects due to interlayers. In 1963, Anshan Iron and Steel integrated steel ingot sandwich rate of as high as 0.56%, compared with 1962 nearly tripled, the amount of waste accounted for 27.3% of the total post-roll scrap. Boiling steel sandwich is the most serious, especially low carbon steel. Boiling steel sandwich waste accounted for 96.8% of total waste.
