靠山住宅楼(简称靠山楼)建于珠海特区水湾头建设区内,该区原是一片小山丘,后由人工开挖形成层层台地和陡坎。这块三角形地段有公路可通拱北、直达澳门;路东与南海油田办公生活基地毗邻;南面可望大海,地段相当珍贵。1984年秋,我院规划设计的水湾头区方案中标。建设区的主体是一幢二十六层的综合性大楼——双圆大厦,另外还有若干幢住宅和小型公共建筑,靠山楼是其中一组商品性住宅。建设区北界有一段相当长的陡坎,坡近70度,原计划修一道110米长,15~18米高、2.5米厚的石头挡土墙,显然,这样不但工程量大、耗资多,而且挡土墙放坡还要占去本
The Qiangshan Residential Building (Janshan Building for short) was built in the Shuiwantou construction area of the Zhuhai Special Economic Zone.
