电机是以磁场为媒介进行电能与机械能相互转换的电力机械。磁场可以由电流励磁产生,也可以由永磁体产生。但一般的永磁体,由于磁能密度低,因而所建立的能量转换所必需的气隙磁场强度也较低,所以只能制造一些容量小的永磁电机。目前油田抽油机用的稀土永磁同步电机运行情况良好,具有轻型化、高性能化、高效节能等显著特点,节电率高达15%--20%,投入回收期短,可取得明显技术经济效益。因而,使用稀土永磁同步电机取代老式电机已成为油田节能增效的一个趋势。
