This article describes a novel optical transfer function (OTF) tester based on computer technology and based on digital Fourier analysis. The instrument takes the star hole as the target and obtains a blade edge diffusion function (ESF) by cutting a star point image formed by the objective lens under the control of an “edge” of a computer.
