对于海洋学的深海测量,使用“俘虏”探头,就是系在电缆上的探头,在海洋调查船上既费时间又费辅助设备。自返式海洋学测量探头旨在使用一套精密而牢固的、便于操作的自动设备,以便减少深海调查的费用,并扩大“调查船的测量潜力”。克鲁泽(CROUZET)公司在“海上武器和建筑工程技术处”实验室制造的试验模型的基础上,研制了用于海洋学测量的自返式探头。在为法海军设计的现有种类里,自返式探头能下潜5000米,然后自动回升到海面,同时以数字形式记录温度、压力和声速。一个测位装置能使探头回收。这架仪器成本低,又能测量多种参数,为一代新式自动设备开辟了道路。
For oceanographic deep-sea surveys, using a “captive” probe is a probe attached to a cable, which takes time and expense on an ocean survey vessel. Retrofit oceanographic survey probes are designed to use a sophisticated, robust, easy-to-use automated device to reduce the cost of a deep sea survey and to expand the survey’s potential. CROUZET, based on the experimental model made at the Laboratory for Offshore Weapons and Construction Engineering Technology, developed a retractable probe for oceanographic measurements. In existing designs for the French Navy, the self-rewinding probe can dive 5,000 meters and then automatically rise back to the sea while digitally recording temperature, pressure and speed of sound. A positioner can recover the probe. The low cost of this instrument, but also to measure a variety of parameters, opened the way for a new generation of automated equipment.
