Objective To investigate the incidence of mental disorders in patients with chronic prostatitis (CP) with decreased sexual function and to evaluate the relationship between the decline of sexual function and mental disorders. Methods A total of 1 500 cases of CP were analyzed using the Zung Anxiety Scale (SAS), Depression Scale (SDS), International Prostate Symptom Index (NIH-CPSI), Erectile Function Index (IIEF-5) Patients with sexual function and mental state to investigate. Analyze the risk factors of decline of sexual function, the incidence of mental disorders, and further analyze the relationship between the decline of sexual function and mental disorders. Results A total of 1 335 cases met the inclusion criteria, 405 cases (30.3%) had normal sexual function and 930 cases (69.7%) had sexual function decline. The incidence of sexual dysfunction was significantly correlated with age, course of disease and education level (P < 0.05), but not with the body mass index, economic income status. The detection rates of anxiety, depression and anxiety with depression were 27.1%, 26.5% and 16.2% respectively in the sexual decline group and 13.1%, 11.1% and 6.4% in the normal sexual function group respectively. The difference between the two groups was significant There was significant (P <0.05). Polynomial Logistic regression model analysis showed that the decline of sexual function as anxiety and depression risk factors, and control of the relevant variables, sexual function decline is still a risk factor. Conclusions CP patients with decreased sexual function, such as anxiety, depression and other mental disorders, the high incidence of sexual dysfunction as a risk factor for the development of mental disorders.
