非洲撒哈拉沙漠西部的毛里塔尼亚,地处阿拉伯世界和西部非洲的接合部,历史悠久。居民分属若干个不同的部族,其风俗习惯既保存了阿拉伯游牧民族的传统,也留下了非洲部族的烙印。毛里塔尼亚是一个十分有趣的名称,这个名称含有“摩尔人的国家”、“摩尔人的土地”这个意思,因为这个国家的主要民族是摩尔人,约占全国人口的3/5左右。摩尔人是典型的游牧民族,他们主要生活在撒哈拉沙漠较为平坦的空旷地带。摩尔人的婚礼自然反映出沙漠上那种特有的粗犷气息,从该国饶有兴味的婚礼仪式习俗也可窥见其五彩缤纷的文化特色。
Mauritania, west of the Sahara in Africa, has a long history in the junction of the Arab and Western Africa. Residents belong to a number of different tribes, their customs and traditions not only preserved the Arab nomads, but also left a tribes of African tribes. Mauritania is a very interesting name. It contains the meaning of “the country of the Moors” and “the land of the Moors.” Because the main ethnic group in this country is the Moors, which is about 3/5 of the total population of the country . The Moors are typical nomadic peoples who mainly live in relatively open open areas of the Sahara. Moorish weddings naturally reflect the kind of desert that unique rough atmosphere, from the country’s wedding ceremony customs can also glimpse of its colorful cultural features.
