This paper introduces the application of metal film and metal composite film in hydrogenation and dehydrogenation reaction and the common preparation methods and development trend of metal composite film. Compared with the non-composite metal film, the metal composite film has the advantages of high hydrogen permeation, less metal consumption and low cost.
