环境污染预防项目（ＥＰ３）这个由美国国际发展局（ＵＳＡＩＤ）资助的两年项目（１９９３年１０月一１９９５年１０月）正在把清洁生产概念引进突尼斯工业．其目的是削减污染、提高效率和节约资金·作者评论了为把污染预防和清洁技术引进突尼斯而采取的举措．这些包括：制订一项广泛的教育计划；在私有企业中开展９项污染预防审计；通过污染预防研讨会，制订一项培训计划．总结了一些审计的结果·所研究的企业涉及汽车电池行业、食用油和肥皂行业、鞣革行业、纺织印染行业和电镀行业．
The Environmental Pollution Prevention Project (EP3), a two-year project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) (October 1993-October 1995), is introducing the concept of clean production into Tunisian industry. Its purpose is to reduce pollution, increase efficiency and save money. The authors commented on the measures taken to introduce pollution prevention and clean technology into Tunisia. These include: development of an extensive education program; nine pollution prevention audits in private companies; and development of a training plan through pollution prevention seminars. Summarized the results of some audits. The companies studied involved the automotive battery industry, the edible oil and soap industry, the tanning industry, the textile printing and dyeing industry and the electroplating industry.
