近年来,随着我国对外文化交流日趋加深,诸如《美食直播》、《舌尖上的中国》这一系列的反映中国饮食文化的栏目受到人们的广泛喜爱,由此可见要想让中国饮食文化在世界上得到广泛传播,离不开英语翻译。本文以武汉特色预包装食品为例,凸显出武汉特色预包装食品翻译这一重要问题。经调查研究发现,武汉特色预包装食品的英语翻译存在着无译文、拼音翻译、语法不规范、内容不当等问题。建议的解决方法:对武汉特色预包装食品进行分类总结;具体问题具体分析,可采用直译、意译翻译方法;翻译时考虑中西方文化差异。
