The postoperative 5-year survival rate of lung cancer is not high (6 to 9%), and there are controversies about its influencing factors. This article analyzed 148 patients with lung cancer who underwent thoracotomy. The surgical resection rate was 84%, the operative mortality rate was 3.4%, and the five-year survival rate was 34%. Focus on the analysis of factors that affect the long-term survival of lung cancer surgery: 1. Tumor volume. It is closely related to long-term survival. The 5-year survival rate of 18 cases less than 2 cm after surgery was 61%, which was higher than those greater than 2 cm (P < 0.02). The five-year survival rate (43%) of the 62 cases less than 4.5 cm is greater than 4.5
