塍（塖、畻、堘)cheng <方>（指保定地区方言例）去把南山坡下那块地中间弄个～子,为是的浇地方便。 ——意思是土埂子。 <古>（指古代典籍用例）沟塍刻镂,原隰龙鳞。（班固《两都赋》） ——意为田埂。 田塍望如线,白水光参差。（刘禹锡《插田歌》） ——意为田埂。 <释>《说文》土部收～字,释为“稻中畦也。”音食陵切。《广韵》平声蒸韵并收～、塖二字,释为“稻田畦也”,音同《说文》。《集韵》平声蒸韵并收题头五字,释同《说文》,音神陵切。《段注》曾详作注释:“稻中畦埒（音lei,矮墙）。畦,五十亩之介也。……稻中作介画以蓄水,取义于此,谓之塍。必言稻中者,禾黍不必为此,惟稻必蓄水以养之,……今四川谓之田绳子,江浙谓之田縆（音geng）。縆,亦绳也。”
