Not long ago, economist Wei Jie put forward: In 1996 China’s commodity market will surely have to undergo great changes. In terms of the total amount, there will be a shift from the supply shortage to the balance between supply and demand and even relative surplus. Wei Jie believes that since the reform and opening up, China’s commodity market has been dominated by short supply in more than 10 years, and has been quietly changing recently. According to the World Bank survey, the Chinese market will show a relative surplus in the next 15 years. This means that some enterprises launched in the “peak” period of economic development will face an unprecedented test. Most domestic enterprises will have less room for survival and development.
