Objective: To investigate the changes and clinical significance of serum levels of IL-6, TNF-α and IFN-γ in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) before and after treatment. Methods: Serum levels of IL-6, TNF-α and IFN-γ were measured in 66 CHD patients by radioimmunoassay (including 31 cases of stable angina pectoris (SAP), 22 cases of unstable angina pectoris (UAP) Infarction (AMI) in 13 cases] and compared with 35 normal healthy subjects. Results: The levels of serum IL-6, TNF-α and IFN-γ in patients with CHD before treatment were significantly higher than those in normal controls (P <0.01). After 3 months of treatment with Chinese and Western medicine, there was no significant difference between the two groups Sex differences (P> 0.05). Conclusion: The changes of serum IL-6, TNF-α and IFN-γ are involved in the occurrence and development of CHD.
