榜样道德作为一种道德传统对于中国社会的道德建设具有一定的积极作用,但同时也存在较大的局限性。第一,榜样道德提出的道德要求与人们现实道德能力之间存在巨大差距。第二,榜样道德的作用机制本身存在局限性。第三,榜样道德所赖以存在的某些伦理文化传统与当代社会的自由精神相背离。因此,榜样道德应当在道德实践中得到正确的对待。 Model morality as a moral tradition has a positive effect on the moral construction of Chinese society, but it also has its own limitations. First, there is a huge gap between the moral requirements put forward by the example morality and people’s real moral capabilities. Second, the mechanism of role model morality has its own limitations. Third, some of the ethical and cultural traditions in which the model morality exists depend on the spirit of freedom of contemporary society. Therefore, the morality of example should be treated correctly in moral practice.
