“恨不得”与“巴不得”为一组近义动词,两者都具有表示“迫切盼望”的意义。以往判断两者的不同,多是从所希望的事情能否实现这一性质着手的。然而,实际上,很多时候我们并不能以此手段来区别两者间存在的差异。现试从语义角度,将其分成“恨型”、“盼得型”,“盼型”三部分,从而说明“恨不得”与“巴不得”间存在的差异,不仅是一个所希望的事情能否实现的问题,而且在表示“迫切的盼望”这一意义时,它们往往要受到“恨”“巴”词义本身的限制,其不同是与其本来意义密切相关的。
