论述了番茄杂种优势利用的现状及其研究进展,分析了目前杂交种制备中的技术弊端,着重探讨了通过基因工程创造雄性不育系和保持系的原理和方法。利用基因工程创造的雄性不育系制备杂交种,能克服传统方法的缺点,可望简化制种程序、增加种子产量、保证种子纯度,是番茄杂种优势利用的一条新途径。
The present situation and research progress of utilization of heterosis in tomato were discussed. The technical disadvantages of current hybrid seed production were analyzed. The principle and method of creating male sterile and maintainer lines by genetic engineering were emphatically discussed. The use of genetic engineering to create hybrid male sterile lines can overcome the shortcomings of traditional methods, is expected to simplify the seed production process, increase seed yield and ensure seed purity, is a new way for tomato heterosis.
